さて、今回はわたしたちが太る理由です。
また、糖尿病やがん、心疾患や脳疾患などの病気も、じつは食べものと関係しています。
なぜなら、糖尿病やがんは、むかしのひとにはなかった病気だからです。
今回は、「遺伝子も腸の言いなり」（藤田紘一郎）という本から、一部抜粋して説明していきたいと思います。

食生活の変化
わたしたちは本来、狩猟民族としてお肉やお魚などの、タンパク質を主に食べていました。
しかし、農耕民族としてお米や小麦を食べるようになり、”糖”を食べはじめました。
近年では、さまざまな調味料や、調理済みの食品、そして食品添加物をつかった食品もおおくなっています。
そもそもわたしたちの身体は、糖質を分解するちからがまだ弱いので、対応できていません。
そのうえ、自然にはない調味料や、食品添加物によって、身体へのふたんは大きくなっています。
食生活の変化によって、対応できなくなった身体が病気になったり、消費できない糖により太ってしまうのです。
つまり腸にとっても、脳にとっても、有害なものである、糖や調味料、食品添加物をさけることで、健康になり太ることもおさえられるのではないでしょうか。
太っている野生動物を見たことありますか
野生動物をみていると、太っている子はいないと思います。
しかし、飼われている動物には、太っている子がいます。
ここでは味付けについておはなしをしましょう。
冒頭でもお話ししたように、いまはたくさんの”糖質”や”調味料”にあふれています。
基本の「さしすせそ」だけではなく、とうがらしなどのからみや苦みなどもあります。
これらの調味料は自然の味ではなく、ほとんど人工的に作られている味です。
ここで、あるおもしろい実験をみなさんにお話ししましょう。（著書抜粋）
とても空腹のサルにいつもの4倍のえさを与えました。
サルは空腹なので、いきおいよくえさを食べはじめました。
しかしお腹を空かしているにもかかわらず、いつもと同じ分量しか食べません。
つぎの実験は、同じえさに味をつけてみました。（今回は、はちみつとバター）
観察していると今度は、4倍のえさをあっという間に食べ終え、さらにえさを求めてきたのです。
この実験からわかることは、味付けをしていないえさの時は、満腹中枢はただしく働くので必要以上に食べませんでした。
しかし味付けをすると、満腹中枢はただしく働かなくなり、必要以上に食べてしまったということです。
この実験結果より、食べものに味付けをすることで、食べすぎてしまうのだと考えます。
そして、食べすぎによって身体へ負担がかかり、糖尿病などの病気になりやすくなるのです。
食べたもので身体は作られる
わたしたちの身体は、食べたもので作られています。
だからこそ、食べるものにもっと目をむけて欲しいです。
いきなり食生活をかえる必要はありません。
でも、よくつかう調味料を自然に近いもの(自然塩など)にしたり、なるべく自炊することで食品添加物をさけることはできます。
ところで、身内に糖尿病のひとはいますか？
わたしには、身内で糖尿病になっているひとに父親、妹、そして若くして亡くなったおばあちゃんがいます。
糖尿病は親からの遺伝でなるとも言われいるので、わたしも気をつけないといけないと思い生活しています。
しかし、親からの遺伝で糖尿病になる確率は”5％”なのです。
つまり、のこりの95％は食生活によって糖尿病はふせげるということです。
わたしたちが、しごとをできるのも運動でストレスを発散できるのも、健康な身体をしているからということを忘れないでください。
健康になって人生にゆたかさを
わたしたちの身体は、狩猟民族のときからほとんど進化してません。
なのでこれだけの病気を引き起こしているのです。
わたしは1日2食で生活していますが、健康のためでありダイエットのためではありません。
1日2食に慣れると、糖質も制限されます。
ダイエットを目的とするのなら、健康について調べると結果としてダイエットになるかもしれません。
すべてはつながっています。
健康ために運動をしたり食生活をかえる。
健康であればたくさんのことを経験できるので、人生のゆたかさもあがっていくのではないでしょうか。
味つけなしダイエットっておもしそう
ためしに、味付けなしダイエットをやってみませんか？
味付けをしないことで、食べすぎを防止できるのであれば、必要以上に食べることもなくなる。
ダイエットにもなり、太りづらくなり、健康にもいいのではないでしょうか。
わたしは、お肉を味付けなしで食べてみましたが、味気ないのでいつもより食べませんでした。
また、味付けをするときも、自然塩をつかうことで素材本来の味をひきだし、調味料をつかうよりもおいしく感じます。
すると、食品添加物の量もすくなくできるので、また1歩健康になれるのではないでしょうか。

食品添加物をつかった食べものは、とてもおいしいです。
便利で安くておいしいと3拍子そろっています。
でも、健康やダイエットのことを考えると、食生活をみなおさなければなりません。
便利な世のなかになったからこそ、健康に生きて、人生をたのしくしましょう。
