断捨離の定義とは以下の3つです。
- すでにある不要なものを捨てる
- 入ってくる不要なものを断つ
- ものに対する執着から離れる
となっています。
最終的に、ものに対する執着から離れることによって、あなたにとって本当に大切なものだけの状態を目指すことです。
どうやれば断捨離できるようになるのか。
わたしのやり方をお伝えします。
苦手なわたしでも、続いている方法なので、あなたにもできるはずです。
わたしの断捨離の方法
まずわたしは、朝起きて周りを見渡しなんでもいいので、「いらない」と思ったものを必ず１つ捨てます。
なので毎日１つは”必ず捨てる”という行為をします。
理由として、いらないと判断する力と、捨てることを習慣にするためです。
習慣化するために紙に書いて、起きたらすぐ見える場所に貼っておくと、効果てきだと思います。
書く言葉は「1日1捨て」とかどうでしょうか？
もう１つ取り組んだことは、”収納を減らす”ことです。
わたしは、収納＝物置だとかんがえます。
収納を減らすことにより、断捨離しなければいけない状態にできます。
また、使用頻度のひくいものの断捨離や、再確認もできるのです。
電池や缶詰、旅行でもらったアメニティなど思い当たりませんか？
ためしに、家のなかにある収納ボックスを１つ捨ててみてください。
できれば、なにが入っているかわからない収納ボックスを選びましょう。
朝おきたらなにかものを捨てる。
収納ボックスを捨ててみる。
習慣化できれば、しぜんに断捨離できるようになります。
それではつぎに、断捨離をするメリットを３つ紹介します。
メリット①綺麗なお部屋になる
メリットの1つ目は、綺麗なお部屋になることです。
断捨離によって、整理整頓されるのでイメージしやすいですね。
不要なものを捨てるので、必然的にキレイなお部屋になっていきます。
想像してください。
たくさんのモノであふれていたお部屋は、スッキリと開放的なお部屋になっているのです。
わたしは、断捨離をして40ℓのゴミ袋で14袋分捨てました。
一度キレイにしたお部屋を見ると、汚れを気にするようになります。
つまり断捨離は、お部屋だけでなく、じぶんの美意識も変化するのです。
いきなり意識はかわりません。
だからこそ、毎日1つものを捨てること、そして収納ボックスを減らすことからはじめましょう。
わたしの美意識が変化したように、あなたも変わるはずです。
メリット②ストレスフリー
さてメリットの2つ目は、ストレスフリーになります。
お部屋にモノが多いと、ストレスを感じます。
なので断捨離することによってストレスフリーになるのです。
いろいろなモノが、散乱していることによって
- 目に入る情報が多くなり、集中できない
- 欲しいものを見つけられない
- 朝からイライラする
ということの原因になります。
断捨離を習慣化することによって、余計なストレスを減らすことになります。
あなたの笑顔を守るためにも、断捨離をして気持ちの良い朝を迎えましょう。
メリット③本当に大切なものに囲まれる
3つ目のメリットは、あなたにとって本当に大切なモノに囲まれるということです。
わたしはこのメリットが、断捨離をするうえで1番大切だと思っています。
本当に大切なモノだけに囲まれると、嫌なモノをみることがなくなります。
なのでストレスも減りますし、幸福な気持ちになれるのです。
大切なモノだけに囲まれるためには、いままでなんとなく持っていたものについて、もう一度向き合い必要か不要かを考えなければなりません。
よく考えて残ったモノは、あなたにとって本当に大切なモノとなり、あなたの毎日の幸福度をあげてくれます。
ここで伝えたいことは、不要なものへの執着から離れるということです。
ところで、あなたは思い出の品を見つけたらどうしますか？
たとえば、手紙であったり学生のときにもらった賞状や、贈りものなどあると思います。
とても大切にしているかもしれないし、なんとなく保管しているだけかもしれません。
わたしは、”思い出は記憶”であってモノは必要ないと思っています。
どうしても残したいのであれば、写真に撮っておけばモノは捨てられます。
わたしは、必要以上にモノに執着せずに大切なものだけを見つけ、これからより一層大切にしていこう
と考えます。
あなたの好きなモノだけに囲まれる。
しぜんに幸せな気持ちになり、楽しい人生を歩めるのではないでしょうか。
