たとえば、友だちとの待ち合わせ。
公園や、お店に何時に待ち合わせをして集まり、おなじ時間を過ごします。
このとき待ち合わせの時間におくれてしまうこともあるでしょう。
すると、つぎの集まりに呼んでくれなくなったりするかもしれません。
つまり、じぶんとあいての間にあった信頼関係をこわしてしまうのです。
待ち合わせなら何度かゆるせるかもしれません。
しかし、お金の貸し借りとなればそうはいかないでしょう。
一度うしなった信頼は、なかなか取りもどせません。
だからこそ、あいてと良い信頼関係にしたいのであれば、約束の大小によらず守りましょう。
約束をやぶると
あなたは約束をやぶったことはありますか？
というより、小さいものであればやぶったことはあると思います。
約束をやぶることは自己責任ですが、約束にはあいてがいることを忘れないでください。
なぜなら、約束をやぶることはあいての信頼をうらぎるからです。
約束をすると、
- あいてはあなたのために時間をつくっているということ
- あいてはあなたのためにお金をつかっているということ
- あいてはあなたに期待をしているということ
時間は命と等しいです。
約束をやぶることで、あいての命をムダにしているのです。
あなたもじぶんのたいせつな時間をムダにされると嫌な気持ちになると思います。
”じぶんの嫌なことはひとにしない”です。
約束を守るためには
約束を守り、良い信頼関係をつくるためには、行動です。
なにもせずに約束は果たせません。
公園で待ち合わせをしているのに、家でゴロゴロしていても公園にはつきません。
となると、約束を守るためには行動にうつさないと守れません。
約束をするということは、じぶんとあいてのたいせつな時間やモノを気持ちよく共有するために不可欠です。
プライベートであっても、しごとであっても、日頃から約束は守るようにしておきましょう。
あいての信頼のためには、行動することです。
まとめ
どう考えても理不尽な約束を守るひつようはありません。
なぜなら、あなたのたいせつな時間をあいてはたいせつにしていないからです。
しかし、たいせつなあいてとの信頼関係をつづけたいのであれば約束は守りましょう。
